BeastLink SuperDestruction Guide
Treat every building as interactive terrain, not a skybox prop.
SuperDestruction is Grove Street Games proprietary networked destruction system and the mechanical soul of BeastLink. Maps are built so that hundreds of thousands of objects can break apart into enormous debris fields. If you only shoot players and ignore architecture, you are playing half a game.
What SuperDestruction changes mid-match
Collapsing a block can open a shortcut, erase a sniper nest, trap a vehicle convoy, or expose a Beast ankle to layered fire. Because destruction is fully networked for structurally significant events, the skyline you create is the skyline everyone else must read. Small debris may not all replicate as damage-relevant state, but the big collapses are the shared language of the lobby.
Human uses of destruction
Humans should destroy with purpose: create an escape notch, remove enemy cover before a push, or deny a Beast a clean approach lane. Randomly leveling your own defensive ridge is a self-own. Combine this mindset with Human Controls and Map Tips.
Vehicle uses of destruction
Tanks and heavy vehicles can reshape chokepoints. Helicopters scout which blocks are already compromised. When a building is mid-collapse, vehicle pathing becomes a timing puzzle — hesitate and you eat rubble; commit early and you flank. See Vehicle Controls.
Beast uses of destruction
As a Beast, destruction is both flex and utility. Tail sweeps, beams, and body checks should answer a question: what terrain do I want five seconds from now? Horned Lizard kits especially advertise building-melting tools. Aerial Beasts can carve vertical openings. Always pair Beast aggression with the transform timing notes in How to BeastLink.
Reading a ruined map
After major collapses, update your mental minimap. Old cover is gone. New sightlines exist. Serum routes may be longer or newly contested. The players who win late fights are often the ones who watched the city change instead of staring only at crosshairs. Deepen this skill in Destruction Strategy.
Mode context
In Battle Arena, destruction creates public information — everyone hears and sees the skyline edit. In Convergence, coordinated collapses can solve PvE geometry problems for the whole squad. Do not copy Arena greed patterns into cooperative modes without talking to the team.
Performance awareness
BeastLink leans on GPU-accelerated physics. If your frame time spikes during multi-block collapses, lower settings before blaming netcode. Validate your machine with System Requirements and the System Requirements Checker.
Drills
- Spend a session destroying only for pathing. 2) Spend another denying cover for a teammate push. 3) As a Beast, destroy only to isolate a single target. These drills teach vocabulary faster than deathmatches alone. Return to the Guides Hub afterward and pick a mode playbook.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers grounded in what BeastLink players ask most.
What is SuperDestruction in BeastLink?
It is the networked, physics-driven system that lets players collapse buildings and reshape urban maps as humans or Beasts.
How many destructible objects are in a map?
Public materials cite more than 250,000 destructible objects per map, fragmenting into huge debris counts.
Is destruction only for Beasts?
No. Humans and vehicles can reshape terrain too, though Beasts amplify the scale.
Does destruction affect multiplayer fairness?
Structurally significant collapses are networked so all players share major skyline changes; tiny debris may be simplified.
